Monica Delgado
Monica Delgado is the Office Manager at Katmissky & Jamsheed. Monica joined the firm as a legal assistant in 2013. She assumed her current responsibilities in 2017.
Monica manages all the firm’s cases and frequently communicates with clients. During her time at the firm, she has gotten to know many clients and their families. Clients appreciate Monica’s easy going, calming manner. They often turn to her when they have questions.
Monica’s responsibilities include screening, reviewing, and assigning all incoming cases. She monitors the progress of cases on an ongoing basis and handles individual case issues as necessary. Her work includes talking with insurance companies and medical clinics about details relating to cases and to clients’ medical treatment. She maintains excellent relationships with her counterparts at those businesses, who are so integrally involved in the firm’s personal injury cases.
Monica appreciates the comfortable environment at the firm. She enjoys working with the attorneys and case managers. An especially rewarding part of her work is getting to know clients and communicating with them about their cases.
Before joining the firm, Monica worked as a paralegal at two other law firms. Her interest in litigation grew out of her job as a receptionist at a personal injury firm. Lawyers at the firm encouraged her to go to college, so Monica enrolled in paralegal classes at Los Angeles Community College. She became a paralegal at that firm. Monica has worked in litigation ever since then and now has more than 15 years of experience working with personal injury cases.
When she was 12 years old, Monica moved to the United States from Spain with her sister and mother. They originally settled in West Covina and eventually moved to a home in Montebello, where Monica still lives with her two young adult children. She and her children enjoy hanging out together. They have fun just being together and especially like to try new restaurants and cuisines and go to movies.
